HOLIDAY MEMORIES
by TRUMAN CAPOTE

December 7 - 23, 2012 (Preview Performance: December 6)

“The Thanksgiving Visitor,” finds eight year old Buddy attempting to cope with the local bully, Odd Henderson, who takes every opportunity to make the younger, weaker boy miserable. To stop this problem, Buddy’s aunt and best friend, Miss Sook, invites Odd to her big Thanksgiving party. During the party, Buddy learns a lesson on how to treat others.

“A Christmas Memory,” finds Buddy and Miss Sook engaged in their annual ritual of making fruitcakes for Christmas gifts which their family does not support. Buddy and Miss Sook are able to pick berries and save enough money throughout the year to buy supplies. They send the cakes to people they know and whom they pretend to know, such as President Roosevelt.
